Quote to live by

LIFE IS MY CAFFEINE, LOVE IS MY BROWN SUGAR, POETRY IS MY DRUG OF CHOICE - C. DELALEU

In the Beginning...their eyes were watching

And when he created Genesis
He said she needs her Adam
To blend with her sorrows
To make her believe her exhaustions
Will not be criticized
Not be taken in vain

After all she is Eve
Immersed from his rib
Right there below the belt
Kissed on the forehead by God himself
He planted a garden in her heart
Where flowers bloom in the spring
And shed tears in the winter
November is her weakness
The month he left her behind
Bleeding to death

She had to heal herself by herself
That was when she was named Genesis
Taken out from the darkness into the light
She no longer needed Adam’s presence to acknowledge beauty
How she glitters like gold
Her scars are not pointless
They glare as reminders of dry particles
She sprinkles and feed them to readers
Those who take their time to understand her struggle
This biology of a woman
She knows they are watching

That’s why she keeps her bed versatile
Refusing to let her guard down
You can’t be vulnerable in the face of adversity
You fight like a true warrior
A Genesis
For in the beginning
There was heaven on earth
A beginning with no end
Thanks to the way she was made
Her sun lights up the earth with what she craves
Someone who will break the spell
Who will care for her heart and not step all over
The scars

Determination, this word comes to mind today and I am sure it's for a valid reason. The warrior in me wants to fight more than ever this life and to accomplish what I am here to conquer. As the saying goes, the sun will come out tomorrow.

Expression of the day

Advertise your heart so others can comprehend your yearning
At times, expressing is like bungee jumping and you're never sure
how you're going to land~
